Upgrade 3 Parts of Your PC to Have Smooth Gaming Experience

As we all can see, CPUs and GPUs are updating so fast that your current gaming PC may outdate. You probably spend $1800 for a decent gaming PC at the time and features premium parts like a Core i7-3770K and a Radeon HD 7970.

However, you might think of upgrading your PC since it doesn't serve you as well as 7 years before. In this article, I will include exactly what parts need to be upgraded to having a nice gaming experience at a relatively low cost.

1. Hard Drive

running slow might be a major issue of old gaming PC. It probably takes 5 to 10 minutes to fire up, and that would be quite annoying for most gamers. The reason for this would be your hard drive.

Back to 5 years ago, HHD (Hard Disk Drive) was still a good choice for most people because of its low cost and large storage. However, HHDs run much slower than SSD especially after years of use. Nowadays, replacing your old HDD with a new SSD is highly recommended.

Imagine when you get kicked out by your teammates because your PC takes forever on loading. Now, with your new SSD, that will never happen again.

2. Graphics Card

Graphics card is a very important part for all gaming PCs especially when you are a gamer or 3d video editor. You definitely need a graphics card. However, whether or not to choose a good one depends on what your daily use is. For example, if you are passionate about the latest AAA games like Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs2, or Red Dead Redemption2, it is necessary to replace your old graphic card with the latest one.

For games like League of Legends and Civilization, it is better to stay with your current Graphics card and save your money for other uses.

3. CPU

CPU is definitely the most important part of all PCs. All programing commands are assigned by CPU to all components. It is like a human's brain. Even if CPU is the most important part, changing CPU may not be the best choice if you want to spend less money to get a totally different gaming experience since a good CPU may not boost as much FPS as graphics cards do.

Upgrading CPU only works on some specific games. As a result, before you want to upgrade your CPU, please google whether the games you often play is CPU intensive or GPU intensive. For GTA V, upgrading whether CPU or GPU can both bring a good FPS improvement.
